Traveling Training Team

POSTED: March 9th, 2012

Did you know that Yard House has a Traveling Training Team? The team consists of hourly team members who are already on the training team at their home location. The Traveling Trainers arrive at a new location opening at various stages depending on the needs of their respective department. They remain in the new location anywhere from 3-8 weeks (depending on the need) and assist in training, teaching classroom, and carrying the torch for the Yard House culture.

The Yard Core team recently conducted interviews for available positions on the Traveling Training Team. We were excited to see so many candidates that have a desire to be ambassadors for Yard House! Interviews were conducted across the nation via phone, video conference, and in person at the Support Center in Irvine, California. Over the last two months we have interviewed over thirty-five candidates, and will continue to interview candidates on an on-going basis.

If you are interested in becoming a Traveling Trainer please speak with your General Manager about the process.

Check out these photos of our Traveling Training Team when they arrived to help open our Fenway location!

    Hello Fenway!

I will tell you that, as the former GM of LA Live, I was not too sure about the “Beat LA” chants. However, as member of the Yard House family I wish you all the luck and success this weekend and in the future.

Being involved with an monster, event driven restaurant is an amazing experience. The absolute greatest experience I have had in the 25 years I have been in the Restaurant Business was working in LA Live. The pure adrenaline of running monster shifts combined with the energy of a building full of guests excited about an event just has no comparison.

The bonds you build with your team and fellow managers under the volume we expect will end up creating a unique fraternity that will last forever. I will never forget the team I worked with in Los Angeles, what we went through together and how much they will always mean to me.

You will be tired, you will have trying shifts, but it will be an absolutely amazing experience for all of you, enjoy it and good luck!!
