A Moscow Mule is a buck or mule cocktail made with vodka, ginger beer and lime which was popular during the vodka craze in the United States during the 1950s. The name refers to the popular perception of vodka as a Russian product.
The cocktail was invented in 1941 by John G. Martin of G.F. Heublein Brothers, Inc., an East Coast spirits and food distributor, and “Jack” Morgan, President of Cock ‘n’ Bull Products (which produced ginger beer) and proprietor of the Cock ‘n’ Bull restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles that has since closed its doors.
The Moscow Mule is making its comeback and we wanted to be sure our guests could enjoy all that is a Moscow Mule. Our Beverage team has created three different Mules for you to enjoy; each with their own flavor and house made ginger beer. Recently launched in all Yard House locations are our versions of a Moscow Mule; the traditional Mule, a Hawaiian Mule and a Jameson Mule. Cheers and enjoy!
